The High Pure FFPET RNA Isolation Kit is designed for the isolation and purification of total RNA from 5 to 10 μm thick sections from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue. Macrodissected samples or biopsy material can also be used. Isolated RNA is suitable for qRT-PCR, and microarray analysis.

 

  • Total time required is approximately 2.5 hours including deparaffinization procedure.
  • RNA recovery in 25 to 50 μL elution volume
  • Obtain high yields of contamination-free RNA

The deparaffinized  tissue is lysed with a special lysis buffers and incubated with Proteinase K. In the presence of chaotropic salts, the RNA is specifically bound to the glass fiber of the High Pure Filter Tube. Bound RNA is incubated with DNAse and purified in a series of rapid wash-and- spin steps and then eluated from the column.
